From day one, I’ve loved working with Cornerstone. The process is smooth, the staff are great, and getting my payments is hassle-free.

Rob Jackson has been a mortgage broker for 18 years, beginning his career at NatWest before transitioning to Barclays. Eventually, he moved into self-employment with a specialist new-build firm, focusing on securing mortgages for builders.

To highlight his experience, here’s Rob’s journey with Cornerstone in his own words:

Transition to Cornerstone

“I left my previous firm in December 2023 but faced some hurdles that delayed my ability to start with a new network. In May 2024, I reached out to Cornerstone, and by the end of July, I was up and running. The onboarding process was smooth, straightforward, and welcoming – something I really appreciated.”

Clear and Transparent Terms

“The terms and commission splits were clear and easy to understand. They were attractive for a new business.”

Utilising the Acre System

“I’ve used Acre before, so I was already familiar with it. It’s a great system – fast, efficient, and helpful when dealing with complex cases and documentation. It makes my work much easier.”

Referral Process

“Referring cases to other parts of the business is simple, but as an experienced broker, I already have my own referral sources in place.”

Business Growth

“Every month, I’m seeing growth, with each one being better than the last. Since completions typically take 4-6 months, I’m just now starting to see the rewards of my work.”

Financial Expectations

“As a single broker under the network, I expect to earn around £200k gross. On top of that, my fees and referrals should bring in an extra £50k-£60k. The growth potential here is strong, and I’m excited about where things are headed.”

Future Plans

“From day one, I’ve loved working with Cornerstone. The process is smooth, the staff are great, and getting my payments is hassle-free. I’m hitting my targets, passing cases, and getting solid support from the network. Looking ahead, I’m excited to achieve my AR status by Easter and launch my website and social media pages. The future’s looking bright!”
