We at Team Imperial and Cornerstone are thrilled to share that we have surpassed our ambitious fundraising target of £50,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association!
This achievement means so much to us, as we know every penny raised will make a real difference to this incredible charity, which continues to support our very dear friend and former colleague Markus Matthews and his wife Christine, who was diagnosed with MND in 2018.
We’ve seen first-hand the care and compassion the charity provides to Christine, Markus, and so many others living with MND, as well as their families and carers. Our fundraising is just a small way of helping to fund this vital support and the ongoing search for a cure.
Since 2021, we have raised over £34,500 through events such as Charity Golf Days, Cardiff Half Marathon entries, the 3,000 Squats in November Challenge, Christmas Jumper Days, and raffles. And at our annual Golf Day on 12th September 2025, thanks to everyone’s incredible support, we surpassed our £50,000 target!
The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They have over 10,000 members forming a powerful network that provides information and support for people with MND, their families and carers. The MND Association fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure. They campaign and raise awareness, so the needs of people with MND are recognised and addressed by wider society.
People with MND, their families and carers are at the heart of everything the charity do.
