We at Team Cornerstone & Imperial have set ourselves a challenging target by raising £50,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
We know what a difference every penny of that will make to this incredible charity as the MND Association supports our very dear friend and former colleague Markus Matthews and his wife Christine who was diagnosed with MND in 2018
We’ve seen the care and compassion extended by the charity to Christine, Markus and others living with MND as well as their families and carers.
We want to do our small bit to help fund this support and the ongoing search for a cure.
Since 2021 we have raised an amazing amount of over £35000 from various events we have done, including our Charity Golf Days, a number of staff who entered the Cardiff Half Marathon, 3000 squats in November Challenges, Christmas Jumper Days and raffles.
But we aren’t stopping there. We are supporting the MND Association again in 2025 with all funds being donated to the work of the volunteers at the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Branch of the Association.
We will be having our annual golf day again on the 12th September and Haydn Thomas is taking part in 3 x 10k runs in Newport, Porthcawl and Cardiff.
The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They have over 10,000 members forming a powerful network that provides information and support for people with MND, their families and carers. The MND Association fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure. They campaign and raise awareness, so the needs of people with MND are recognised and addressed by wider society.
People with MND, their families and carers are at the heart of everything the charity do.
